KATE, the Duchess of Cambridge has been praised for her decision to “rise above” the Oprah interviews and focus on her royal duties and her family.
Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge has been praised for rising “decidedly above it all” following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. Despite being singled out by the couple for allegedly having made Meghan cry, Kate has decided to focus on her royal duties and has not publicly commented on the allegations the Duchess of Sussex moved against her.
Royal expert Camilla Tominey wrote on Stella Magazine: “Despite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Oprah Winfrey interview, when Kate was accused of making Meghan cry during a bridesmaid’s dress fitting and failing to support her, Kate rose decidedly above it all.”
During the funeral of Prince Philip, Kate could be seen chatting to Prince Harry and was walking alongside him as they headed back to Windsor Castle.
“Setting aside any personal resentment she may still feel about Harry and Meghan’s televised two-hour tell-all, Kate put her best foot forward in trying to carve a path to reconciliation between the brothers,” continued Ms Tominey.
“Few would have blamed her for giving Harry the cold shoulder, yet she clearly resolved that the situation needed to be appeased rather than aggravated.”
The bombshell interview with Oprah
During their two-hour interview with the US chat-show host, the Duchess of Sussex claimed that in the lead-up to her wedding in 2018, Kate had made her cry in a row over flower girl dresses.
“She was upset about something, about the flower girl dresses and it made me cry and it really hurt my feelings,” Meghan told Oprah.
The Duchess of Sussex later added that Kate had brought her flowers with a note to apologise for her behaviour.
The Duchess of Cambridge is yet to publicly comment on the interview and its bombshell revelations about the Royal Family.
Accusations that the Royals are racist
During a visit to East London, Prince William responded to a reporter by saying that the royals were “very much not a racist family”.
Although reports have said that Kate was “saddened” by the interview, she has remained focused on her royal responsibilities and has not made any response.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also accused the Royal Family of neglecting their mental health and for refusing to correct false tabloid stories that were consistently printed about Meghan. Read more: daily express
